Our final video summary of our project for the yMedia Challenge 2010!
Last Day for yMedia Challenge 2010
Last day for the ymedia challenge before our presentation tomorrow!
We have just filmed our last blog entry, to be uploaded soon! The website is complete and our client is very satisfied with the ease of use and new upbeat look as well as professional logo.
Watch this space for our last blog entry, showcasing our new website for the WRT and facebook page with over 100 members in one week!
Busy last two weeks for Team Four
Team four has been busy creating a brand new website for the Waiheke Resources Trust.
We have chosen to use webs.com to create the new website, as it has forums, blogs and all the aspects of the new website that the client wants us to utilise to make it more visually appealing and rebranded as the Waiheke Resource Trust.
The new logo for the Waiheke Resource Trust has been also utilised in the new website, and it is still very much under construction by Team Four, as we have chosen not to seek outside website help and create the website ourselves.
This has posed issues, as we are all very inexperienced with creating websites, however we have been using our Mentor, Raul’s advice for creating the website and it is developing into a website that fits our clients brief.
One of the main aspects of the brief was for the website to be easily managed inhouse by our client, and so we have made sure that this aspect of the brief is highly achieved, as without our client being able to regularly update the website, the brand of the WRT is lost.
A facebook page has also been set up for the WRT, with over 70 members in 3 days!
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=142316189122541&ref=ts this is the link to the Facebook page, and we feel it captures the image of the new branding of the WRT.
Until next time, Team Four signing out!
What we have been up to! and the challenges we have been having!
What’s been happening with team four?
The ymedia challenge has kicked off to a great start, with our logo and mock-up of our propsed website designs already in the works.
A meeting with our client is scheduled for next week where we will travel to the exciting island of Waiheke to explore and run our ideas past our client.
Our video blog style is contemporary and unusual, with us choosing to use gummy bears for our first video to be creative and explain our clients wants and needs of this project in a fun and interesting way.
Our mentor Raul, is always available to offer us helpful hints and tips about designing our new website and logo, as well as tools to us through social media outlets to raise the profile of our organisation.
Thats all for now, catch you next time!
